A Blocking disqualifies a contestant from the game. It's called "Blocking" after what you can do in instant messenger apps.
Procedure[]

"Blocked" screen since season two
When the rating results are in, the influencers are asked by the circle who they'd like to block. Most of the time, the influencers are sent to the Hangout to discuss the blocking there. One of the influencers then have to announce the blocked contestant in circle chat. The blocked player is then instantly kicked from the circle chat and a huge "Blocked" is shown on the screen. After that, the blocked contestant can meet one other contestant. In the fourth episode of the second season, when Savannah was blocked, she had to visit the contestant, who she thought would win the circle.
After the blocking, the blocked contestants can record a video message which will be posted to the Newsfeed the next day. Sometimes, there is some exchange of powers involved in the blocking.
Special powers[]
- Savannah selected Courtney as the contestant to be the most likely to win the circle. That gave him the secret power of the inner circle which involved an additional profile called "The Joker". With this profile, he could talk to the new contestants Khat and Mitchell before all the other players in a group chat. He could also select one of the next influencers
- When Ava and her sister Chanel were blocked, they could clone Michelle
- When Calvin was blocked, he could gift the person he trusted the most a burner profile. That's how Nick Uhlenhuth got the profile of the ghost hunter Vince.
Modes[]
Saving[]
Sometimes, instead of blocking one player right away, the circle asks the influencers who they'd like to keep in the game by turns.
Anonymous blocking/Secret influencer[]
Later in the game, there's a blocking where the influencers cannot discuss who they'd like to block with each other before announcing the block to the other contestants. In the first season, the circle made the influencers write the names of the blocked contestants right into the circle chat. In the third season, the influencers could go to the hangout, but got the accounts "Influencer A" and "Influencer B".[1]
Double blocking[]
→ Double Blocking
Instead of blocking just one player, sometimes, two are blocked.
